In Choro Novo

In Choro Novo is a four-part professional choral ensemble based in Boston, MA, aimed primarily at younger professionals whose needs are not met by collegiate, church, or community choirs; however, membership is open to singers of all ages. In Choro Novo was founded in June 1994, when a group of friends, not wanting to sing an exclusively classical or popular repertoire with one of the many established vocal music ensembles in the Boston area, decided to form a new arts ensemble to meet their demands. By performing disparate styles of a cappella and accompanied music, ranging from early renaissance to jazz, In Choro Novo has defined its place in Boston's music community.
